Kitten w kidney failure
Donation protected
Hey y’all I’m Merrick, leftie content creator and sometimes streamer.
a couple of days ago I took in an orphaned kitten, he’s about 4 months old and immediately he stopped eating and began getting really sick. I took him to the vet today and they confirmed he has kidney failure and his heart is beating far too slow. I’m currently sitting in the emergency animal hospital and waiting for the ultrasound results to see if this is a congenital problem or an injury or toxin. Unfortunately I’m disabled from covid and can’t work much, my income fluctuates pretty wildly and I have a lot of medical debt myself. This venture is currently sitting at about $1300 and that’s before the hospital keeps him overnight or starts any actual treatment or procedures. If I don’t pay for this he will die.
i know things are tight for most of us but even a few dollars would really help, I’ll post the walk-in clinic bill and keep you updated on costs and news from here. Thank you so much ❤️
UPDATE 1: his kidneys look like they’re a good, healthy shape on the ultrasound so there’s a good chance this isn’t a congenital defect and it actually is a toxin or injury. I’m about the get the estimate for a 2-3 night hospitalization stay w a catheter and possible sedation + fluid treatment to stabilize his potassium and kidney levels
