Kittens in bad shape rescued from a barn.

My name is Emily and I want to help my mom. The money is needed for 2 kittens my mom rescued from a farm she stopped at for eggs. She saw a sign and drove in to buy some. While there, she noticed a large number of cats and kittens. She said to the lady, "it must be so expensive to feed all these cats". The woman replied "we buy a large bag of food once a month and hope it gets them by, and the coyotes take care of the weaker ones."

It took every bit of patience my mom had to NOT freak out on the woman, so she bit her lip. She knew she was going to ask the woman if she could help find some of them, a home. She searched for the weakest and found a set of 2 brothers, one had a serious eye infection and puss was everywhere. She said all the kittens were trembling cold. No heater in the barn that other people do for their farm cats. She could tell they were starving. My mom has raised me all on her own. My father not present, and a huge fight to get any support. He hid his assets. I really want to help her as I have not been a very grateful daughter. She has been trying for 3 weeks to find a family to take these adorable brothers but I guess nobody wants vet bills. Meanwhile, she has spent so much money on the drops to keep infection clean so it won't get worse (not antibiotic), and cans of kitten food, litter, and she even bought them adorable christmas sweaters, hoping that a family would fall in love with the photo. Between the Vet exam cost, antibiotics for both as the other kitten has congestion issues and is wheezing a lot while breathing, and the surgery that will need to happen on the eye after infection clears up, as we have now discovered the eyeball is actually missing - well, we are talking expense my mom cannot afford. She called 3 cat rescues, and they are all full and will not take the kittens. My mom thinks if the vet care is done, she thinks people won't be scared to take them. That's why I had the idea to do this. So, I am setting the goal for $1500 to cover what our vet says this all could cost (we have 2 cats also) and if there is some left over, she can use it for the other expenses. I would be grateful if you can even donate $10 and if there are enough beautiful hearts on this site, like my mom - we may make enough. Thank you for considering this. Emily K Blethen
