KJ and the Gitau Family

Donation protected

We are asking our Camden Pointe neighbors, the Allatoona High School community, and local churches to rally around KJ and his family during an unimaginable season of loss.

KJ attends Allatoona High School & lives in the Camden Pointe neighborhood. He earns straight As, is a member of the varsity basketball team, and is one of AHS's first male cheerleaders. Tragically, his mom, Karen, a Kenyan-born, American citizen, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last week.

Thankfully, KJ has a precious grandmother, Ann, who has come to care for him. She’s moving into their home, and his uncle from Kenya will arrive soon to help as well. It’s a blessing that KJ can remain in his home and at Allatoona High School where he’s known and loved.

As you can imagine, there are numerous immediate needs. Will you join us in helping ease the financial burden of rent, food, and other expenses as they transition in the coming months?

We hope you’ll consider helping us rally around KJ and his family during such a difficult season. Your generosity is appreciated.
