Walworth County Sheriff's Deputy Recovery Fund

Donation protected

In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 1st, Wayne “Blanch” Blanchard received serious, life-altering injuries while on shift as a Walworth County Sherriff’s Deputy. As of this writing, Blanch is in critical, but stable, condition and has undergone two surgeries in the first twenty – four hours following the incident. Given the extent of his injuries, he is expected to undergo multiple medical procedures in the coming days and the road to rehabilitation will be long and arduous.

Blanch is an outstanding husband, son, friend, colleague, father and grandfather that has dedicated his life to serving others. From his service as a U.S. Marine, to his work as a police officer throughout his 20+ year career (with accolades that that include 2010 SWAT Officer of the Year), to his volunteerism with organizations such as the Blue Knights and Special Olympics, the footprint of the lives he has touched is immeasurable.

Please consider supporting Blanch and his family by donating to his recovery fund -- 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Blanchard family.

This page will continue to be updated as more details become available, as Blanch progresses, but making every effort to respect the wishes and privacy of the Blanchard family.

Please continue with the kind thoughts and prayers for Blanchard family as they navigate through, and recover from, this traumatic incident, and thank you for supporting your local law enforcement agencies and those who selflessly serve our communities.
