Zoey's Surgery

The moment I saw Zoey, it was love at first sight. Out of a litter of spunky pups, she instantly won me over with those puppy dog eyes and personality to match. We were inseparable from day one.
Little did I know how much of a life saver she really was going to be for me. It has been a roller coaster to say the least. Diagnosed with epilepsy at the young age of 2, Lyme disease at 6. Let's not mention the numerous infections she has had due to severe allergies to everything under the sun! What did I get myself in to?!
I'm sure she probably wonders this herself, looking at my life.
I'm a decorated war veteran with the history and mental anguish to match. Despite being deployed twice, Zoey has been right by side whether in person or in spirit. The 15 months without her while in Afghanastan were the most difficult but I always had a reason to push on. I knew she needed me as much as I needed her. She'sy best friend, my faithful companion and the love of my life. I don't know what I would do without her.
We've hit another bump in the road. Zoey has torn her ACL on her back leg and I am beside myself with yet another surgery I know everyone just helped out with her tumor removal and I'm so lucky and so thankful for all the wonderful people who helped out, this little Angel is a walking medical bill and I would appreciate if any pocket change you could throw at us would help in the road to fix her legs so she can continue to be the protector and inspiration she has always been for me.
Please help me on this journey to ensure that the life of a furry friend and faithful companion remain alive and true to a much worried mother.
