In David's Honor: Funeral & Burial

On December 8, 2014 David (our Daddy) suffered a major ischemic stroke on the right side of his brain. He underwent a cath procedure to remove the clot but they were not 100% successful. In the weeks since, it was an uphill battle but he was doing well and slowly but progressively recovering with lots of therapy. Then, on January 11, 2015 during a family meeting to discuss his continued care we noticed a difference in him. They took him for a CT scan later that night and found a sizable hemorrhagic stroke. Unfortunately, due to some of his previous health conditions he was not able to undergo surgery to correct this. They had been treating him as aggressive as medically possible but it was only a matter of time before his condition worsened.
Unfortunately, on the morning of January 20, 2015, due to respiratory complications Walter David Reid passed away peacefully. Although his will to fight and live was there, his body was just too tired.
His three daughters (Penni, Amber, and Debra) and son (David), along with his girlfriend (Mary) and extended family thank you for all the support and prayers.
David is in a better place where he can run and walk freely again.
However, in remembering his life and honoring his wishes, we need your help:
As you probably know, funerals and burials are not cheap, and unfortunately there were no insurance or policies present to cover these costs. We have set a budget for this of $10,000 and we believe that with every cent, every bit of help possible, we can honor David's wishes.
