Bring Kevin Home

Hi , Meet Kevin he is an amazing 31 yr old with severe cerebral palsy. In December his life was changed after His mother who has cared for him with nursing staff died unexpectedly. Kevin needs total care . He is non-verbal, he is quadriplegic, He has a tracheostomy for breathing. A feeding tube for food and medication. He has total dependence on someone to care for him. He was sent to a nursing home and has no family in Wisconsin. His father and stepmom live in North Carolina and are anxious to bring him home . They traveled to spend time and help with the transition and try explaining that Mom went to heaven. It was hard to leave him there . Nursing home care is not the same as care in the home with those who love you surrounding you. Despite all Kevin endures he has the greatest personality. He isn’t as happy . The loss of his Mom and being in a strange place amongst people he doesn’t know only getting attention when it’s time to be turned or changed . Saddens us. The cost of medical transport is 10 thousand for ground transport or 25k for flight please help bring Kevin home. He’s had 2 hospital stays for infectious wounds and pneumonia since he went to the nursing home. He is not getting what he’s used to and it is taking a toll already. Please help Kevin come home.
