Our Tender Hearted Neighbor

Duke Green and his dog Buddy are known to many in the Downriver community. He can be seen sharing a laugh or his free time with neighbors, often with Buddy in tow. If you've ever come home from work to your walk shoveled, lawn mowed or garbage cans off the curb; chances are a member of your community has done it. A member like Duke. Staying in his rental residence over the last several years is no longer an option. The home has recently been sold and Duke has been asked to be out by weeks end. Our tender hearted neighbor is feeling the weight of the world. Being put on the street in the dead of winter, on a fixed income, in his 70's with all of that going on, Duke's main concern is the well being of his dog Buddy. He's confident he'll end up somewhere. He's not asked for help or money from anyone. He has no idea this has been put together for him, by his neighbors that think so highly of him. We would just like to try and raise enough money to get him and his sweet dog into a home.
