Help Debra fight cancer

Debra started out fighting colorectal cancer, but it was actually much more than anyone knew or could have imagined. First she and Boyce went to Ohio seeking treatment as the surgery done in AL was not successful. They thought that surgery was successful and headed to a clinic in AZ for follow up treatments and things went downhill very quickly. Over a two day period she lost the ability to walk and talk clearly...an MRI revealed the cause. Her cancer is a very rare “ stomach” cancer, Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma. She had six tumors in her brain. Additionally the original tumor has returned. Less than 48 hours after receiving this devastating news she had undergone major brain surgery to remove four of the tumors that were threatening her life. Currently she is getting gamma knife radiation for the brain at one hospital and treatment for the original tumor at another. They are blessed to have many great friends in the area, but it’s still not home and there is no way to even think about coming back home at this point.
The treatment options out there are far superior to anything we have here so they were blessed to be out there when all this happened. ......
Boyce and Debra have done so much for so many over the years through their youth camps and more. So many of their “camp kids” are now adults with families of their own, but we’re forever changed because SEYC that Boyce and Debra and their family did for 25 years.

In addition to traditional medical treatments she is also using some natural therapies that have helped Jason, Boyce and Debra’s son-in-law, so much in his fight against Stage 4 melanoma. Many of these are covered by insurance.
Their expenses for travel , treatments and living away from home are continuing to grow every day.
