KL - Shooting star Volunteering fundraiser

Hi everyone,

We have formed a group and we are trying to raise £1,000 or over for Shooting Star children’s hospice.

We will be using just over £400 of the money raised to help pay for us to attend the Shooting star Hampton hospice and partake in a gardening exercise.

Just a bit of background on the charity:

Shooting star children’s hospice began as two separate children’s hospice charities. CHASE which was founded in 1994 and The Shooting star trust founded in 1995. In April 2011, the two charities merged to become Shooting star Chase, with the two hospices - Christopher’s in Guildford and shooting star house in Hampton - able to provide more care for more children and families across west London and Surrey. In February 2019 we updated our name to Shooting star children’s hospices, to provide greater clarity about what we do. Today we are a leading children’s hospice charity supporting over 700 children, and their families, throughout Surrey and across 14 boroughs of London, 365 days a year.

How will Kerry London be helping:

we will be heading outside for the day to help Lee the garden at shooting star house looking fresh. This includes a wide range of tasks including plating, jet washing and fence painting. The gardens are real sanctuary for the children and families that the charity supports.

Kerry London Ltd staff will be volunteering their time, fund raising and manpower to help support this laudable charity and would be very grateful for your help to raise the funds for this undertaking.

How will we be raising money:

One of our team members will also be taking part in an 8 mile run through Richmond park on Saturday 19th October to also raise money for this wonderful charity.
