After the Covid-19 crisis has passed, kids will have a greater-than-ever need to get outside and connect with nature. Klamath Outdoor Science School (KOSS) wants to help fill this need by resuming its camps as soon as it is safe to do so. We have Artists & Scientists, Backpacking 101, Find Your Niche in Nature, and Family Fun Outdoors Camps planned for mid to late summer.
However, because schools are closed in Oregon for the rest of the school year, we have had to cancel our entire spring Outdoor School season. This is having a profound effect on our income, and limits our ability to provide summer camps. We have applied for a Paycheck Protection Program Loan just to keep our Executive Director employed.
Now Quick Books, Yelp, and Gofundme have partnered to help those impacted by Covid-19 by matching up to $500 in donations. With $1000, we would have funds to begin purchasing curriculum & camp supplies and food and enable us to give kids the chance to attend a nature camp this summer! Can you help us do this by making a tax-deductible donation?
KOSS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is an affiliate of the Oregon Cultural Coalition, so not only are donations tax-deductible, but a matching donation to the OCC will qualify for a full tax credit.
