Dick and Bev Klamfoth Fire Fund

Update:
First of all, we would like to send the warmest thanks to everyone who has donated.  We wanted to update you on the status of Dick and Bev at this time.  Dick is pretty much fully recovered physically, but is still bearing some of the emotional distress that has come with the loss of all of their possessions.  Bev has been out of the hospital; however, the smoke inhalation has stirred up some other breathing problems, which has made for a longer recovery.

Christmas Eve was cancelled at their house and moved to my house for this year.  We celebrated life this year, and we were so thankful that ALL of us were able to be together this year. It was as one member of our family put it, the best Christmas ever. We were definitely reminded of the importance of family this year. God is good and we are thankful for His intervention in this situation.

We have been working with the insurance company to ensure that things get taken care of and as some may have noticed, we have been increasing the goal in small increments due to so many unknowns about their needs and how the insurance will close out at this time.  They know that this next year will be a new adventure in their lives and are grateful for all of the friends they have out there in the Motorcycle community or those they have touched in the past.

Both Dick and Bev (and all of the family) are so grateful for all of the kind words shared and generous support. They wanted us to make sure we let everyone know that they are recovering and hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Original Post:
During the early morning of December 20, 2014, Dick and Bev Klamfoth lost all of their posessions when their home, animals, barn, and cars all burned completely to the ground. Dick and Bev Klamfoth were rushed to the hospital and have now been released. They are currently staying with family.

Dick and Bev have always been there for those in need. It is our turn to support them in their hour of need. It is our hope that we will raise money that will give them a little bit of financial assistance to help with emergency needs such as clothes, food, shelter, emergency room healthcare costs and any other emergency needs they may have.

Dick Klamfoth is a legend motorcycle racer. He and Bev are very active in the racing community. They are the most loving parents, grandparents and great grandparents. The are "mom and dad" and "meme and papa" to so many people in our community - beyond family.

More than any of that, though, Dick and Bev are some of the most kind-hearted and giving people I've ever known. They do go out of their way to help anyone that they know.

On behalf of their children and grandchildren (I am one of the granddaughters), I'm asking that you go out of your way to help Dick and Bev. They lost absolutely everything in this fire. No amount of money can replace everything - but we can make sure they have what they need to get through this troubling time as they work through the process of loss and recovery.

Thank you in advance for your support!
