Helping Klint Oshima & Family

Donation protected
Many have been following the story of 3 friends - Klint Oshima, Derek Tomas, and Jenson Loo - all of whom went missing during a recent fishing trip off the coast of Oahu.

Initially, an exhaustive search was conducted for the missing fishermen, successfully locating their capsized boat but no sign of the friends.  This discovery filled the families with hope their loved ones would soon be found.  Hours of waiting turned into long, emotionally exhausting days, but the families continued their vigil, awaiting any word about their loved ones.

When the word did finally come, it wasn't the news everyone had hoped for... 2 of the fishermen's bodies were located on the coast of Kauai.  Sadly, they were identified as Derek and Jenson.  Thankfully their families now have closure, and are able to celebrate the life of their family member that perished at sea.

Unfortunately Klint's family doesn't have the same opportunity as he has yet to be located.  Although the odds are against it, we continue praying for his safe return home.  That being said, what we ultimately hope for is something - anything - tangible for Klint's family in order that they, too, will have the gift of closure.

Although the official search has been called off, Klint's family still plans to continue searching.  The purpose of this campaign is, at least in part, to provide assistance to continue the search for their loved one.   In the unfortunate event the search yields a less favorable outcome, the funds may also be used to help the family host a memorial in celebration of Klint's life.

If you are inclined and able to help, we would greatly appreciate your donation of any amount - no gift is too small (nor too big)!  Regardless of whether you are able to help financially, please keep the Oshima family in your thoughts and prayers.  We collectively pray for closure and finality to their ordeal, accompanied also by a patience and peace of mind that surpasses all human understanding regardless of the outcome.

Aloha!
