Anthony Devaughn Jr. Tragedy of a Rising Star
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Anthony Devaughn Sr.
If you had met our child, you would be as devastated as we are. The unexpected, untimely death of our beloved 12-year-old king led the Devaughn family to ask for help with funds to keep his name and greatness alive.
Suddenly, Anthony developed a severe headache and was flown to the Children's hospital. Next, he was flown to John Hopkins, where blood clots spread and caused significant complications resulting in his death. All this happened within 48 hours. He was here one day excelling and was gone the next, passing away on his baby brother's 2nd birthday on September 4, 2022. We are highly devasted, heartbroken and in disbelief.
With such a bright future in tennis, violin, and academics, everyone knew him from being on top of the world. Nevertheless, Anthony traveled the united states-dominating tennis and playing the violin for many honorable people, forgetting not to mention many judo trophies between the ages of four and seven.
God's purpose for him will last beyond his 12 years, and we all know God makes no mistakes. So in honor of Anthony Devaughn Jr, there is a foundation that will be started and will empower the youth to excel and succeed, all while making a mark in this world. Anthony's family and friends love him unconditionally. He impacted so many lives during the short time he was here. Life will never be the same without him.
Behind him stand three siblings Ambrielle Life Devaughn age 5; Amaru Love Devaughn, age 3; and Atum Live Devaughn, age 2, who looked up to their big brother and wanted to be as great as he was, mimicking everything he did. They loved being silly together, making forts, sibling movie nights, teaching them his many talents, and much more. We adored every moment he has blessed our family with.
We are in unbearable pain, our baby was snatched away from us in an instant, and no amount of money will bring him back or ease our pain. We were not prepared for this, we need help tremendously, and we are not ok.
These donations will also be used to start the Anthony Devaughn Jr. foundation, empowering and inspiring our youth to be excellent in anything they put their mind to.
Please pray for us!
Thank you all for your time and attention
