Emergency Health & Help for Kavin
Until 3 years ago, I was always able to get around, enjoy my life, and volunteer for many causes. I’ve volunteered for political campaigns and rallies supporting my friends and allies in the LGBTQ community.
From 2011-2017, I raised approximately $18,000 for the Las Vegas AIDS Walk, raised over $1000 for our friends in the LGBTQ community. I’ve even spontaneously raised hundreds for many organizations via money and food.
In 2017, everything changed. I couldn’t work any more. I began feeling extremely tired and sick. It took nearly 6 months for a diagnosis of Hashimotos Disease. Yet, even on the medicine, with adjusted doses, it has gotten worse.
In between all that, I had cervical spine surgery, which left me with severe tremors, memory lapse, inability to walk far. Also, it all triggered new autoimmune diseases like Pagets Disease, which is so painfu,I cannot describe it.
While having the Cat Scan for the Pagets in my left hip, they discovered the worst. I have an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm with only a centimeter left before I have a life or death surgery. It has grown nearly a centimeter in about 5 months.
Ive been turned down by SSDI, which was started during 2018, before all the other diagnoses. My attorney has said we have to go to court...in about a YEAR, regardless of the new diagnoses.
Ive been relying on family and it has now put a severe strain on them.
I can’t even pay my portion of my mortgage of $750, or utilities, or car.
I’m asking you, as a friend, a former volunteer, as that person who always stepped in to help.
Please help me. It means I can stay in place and survive while the doctors (now over 33 of them ) help me get better.
In the photo you can see the disfigurement in my neck. It’s worse now.
