Kathmandu Kids

The basic costs for the Himalaya Environmental & Cultural Awareness Center, a children's home in Kathmandu, Nepal, are $1,000 month (USD). This covers the kids' tuition, healthy meals, and home necessities. Though HECAC is a government-approved children's home, there is no government financial support, so there is very little cushion for helping sustain the ongoing costs of the home and care for the children. There are currently 13 vibrant, happy children living here, and we want to ensure they continue to have a reliable and supportive home. We met our initial goal to raise the funds to cover 6 months of the costs to maintain HECAC, and now we want to make it a solid 12. A full year.

We know there are so many ways you can (and need) to spend your hard-earned money, and all of us want to give so much more than we're able to. So ... to add the cherry to the top of the pretty please, we'd like to send a thank you gift to everyone who donates $25 or more (see below).
