Anyone who knows Dr. Vern Cherewatenko would say he's a kind generous man, and a compassionate brilliant doctor. For 25 years he has had the fortune of doing what he loves, unselfishly helping others.
Over the past several years Dr. Vern has unfortunately experienced some very serious health issues that have required multiple hospitalizations. On Sunday, Jan 18, 2015 he went into cardiac arrest and is currently in the ICU at UW Valley Medical Center in Renton, WA. He is stable and responding well to treatment, but it's a day-to-day waiting game to see what his expected outcome will be. His illness and current situation has greatly affected his ability to work, significantly decreasing his income and depleting all resources he and Michelle have to pay bills.
The remaining medical bills that insurance hasn't covered are now in excess of over $40K and continuing to grow with his current hospitalization, putting he and Michelle in a position of potentially filing bankruptcy.
Many friends and patients have asked how they can help; so we are asking that anyone who has been touched by Vern's ability to give hope and healing, please pay it forward with whatever The Lord puts on your heart to give. 100% of your gift will go directly towards easing the financial burden Dr. Vern and Michelle are carrying through this difficult time.
