Knockanure National School Astro Turf Play Area

A short message from the beneficiary of this fundraiser, Ms.Julienne Donegan, Principal of Scoil Chorp Chríost (Knockanure NS).

"I would like to thank the Knockanure Parent's Association for organising this GofundMe Campaign and to everyone who donated.
Our school will be using all donations to build an astroturf play area to a high standard for the pupils of Knockanure National School."


Scoil Chorp Chrίost is in the village of Knockanure, Co. Kerry.

Welcoming 95 students in September 2021.

During break times our children enjoy playing games, running around and just having fun.  Our outside space is limited and we do not have a school hall so all play is in the yard which is small.

We need to increase the size of our playing area and the only option is our field next to the yard, but this is often too wet.

By upgrading to an all-weather play area with Astro-Turf we will double the size of the play area.

We need to raise an extra €15,000 to complete the project.

We are organising this Go-Fund-Me page and invite you – parents, families, past pupils, friends and members of the community to help us reach our target and invest in the future of our students – The Next Generation.

With your help we hope it will be completed by September.
