Knox's Battle
Donation protected
I've never done a GoFund me before but if there is a special animal, Knox is it. I met Knox in 2015 when he came into the Maryland SPCA as a stray and I took him to an adoption event at Black & Decker. I thought.. what a great dog, I meet thousands of dogs every year, and I deeply hoped that he would find a great home. My friend Kaitlyn Thomas, who also worked for the SPCA, adopted Knox about a week later and our bond began to grow.
About a year later Knox was taken from his home during a break-in. The story brought a lot of attention and our community rallied to bring Knox home. He was found 4 days later tied a block away from his house. Since then, Knox has inspired thousands of pets and people through his and his mom's work with Finding Knox, Project Mickey, Maryland SPCA, BARCS, and the city of Baltimore. It has been my privilege to have him as my therapy partner for the last four years.
I am asking our community to rally again. Knox has been diagnosed with large-cell lymphoma and started treatment to hopefully bring him into remission. This treatment and care is costly. We need your help! If you can, please donate a couple of dollars, we would truly appreciate it. We are also planning to have a fundraiser at the end of August. If you are unable to donate now, please share with your networks. I want to do everything to ensure Knox can continue to make people smile everywhere he goes, and feel good doing it.
Knox is a son, a brother, a boyfriend, a nephew, a granddog, a friend, a confidant, a mentor, a teacher, a therapist, and a warrior. Although he is not going to win this war, help him win this battle.
