A Mother and Son.

Hello, my name is Damita and I am fundraising for my sister/friend Ariane, a 32-year-old mother who is currently facing the toughest battle of her life. Earlier this year, on January 2nd, she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Despite undergoing chemotherapy at the Cleveland Clinic and seeking additional expertise in California, the cancer has unfortunately spread to her liver and abdominal cavity. While this journey has not been easy, day end and day out her faith remains strong.

Three months after her diagnoses her journey took an unexpected turn and she has been informed her only child, who is 6 years old has leukemia. She has been unable to work due to her health and now having to care for not only herself but her son. Her son receives love and support from not only her but his father, family and friends.

As her friend and the Godmother to her son it has not been easy watching them go through this. She has become overwhelmed balancing her own treatments, being a full-time graduate student, and caring for her son and their medical expenses.

The financial strain of medical expenses, daily living costs, and their ongoing treatment has been immense. This GoFundMe campaign is an effort to seek support during this incredibly difficult time.
