Knypersley Cricket Club and Teenage Cancer Trust

Hi, my name is Dave Vernon. My friends and I are cycling over 200 miles from Inverness to Glasgow to raise money for Knypersley Cricket Club and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Half of the money we raise will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust, and the other half will help us replace our scoreboard, which costs about £8,500.

As a youth coach, I'm one of many volunteers who help with coaching, managing teams, scoring, umpiring, catering, cleaning, ground keeping, and maintenance. We give around 3,000 hours of our time each year, but we also need funding.

We have trouble getting funding because our club doesn't qualify for the usual sources of community sports funding.
