Koana Legacy: A Brighter Tomorrow

Aloha

My name is Brian Lo, owner of Koana and founder of Koana Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Koana, our welcoming, award-winning, environmentally friendly, and community-based specialty coffee shop, has been serving the Big Island since 2019.

In 2021, during the pandemic, with 8 volunteers' time and effort, we fully renovated the space next door and opened our community space, Koana Cultural Community, to further strengthen community engagement by offering children's educational workshops, culturally relevant events, and educational programs.

As we are currently trying to build an educational agroforestry farm for the greater Puna area, we humbly ask for your support and donation. We currently already have the support of Mountain View Elementary School. We have been working on the restoration of the 4 acre farm to a healthy ecosystem for the past year.
