Koby’s Journey Home

Our beautiful nephew Koby was born premature at 26 weeks... on Friday 16th June something none of us expected and has become a real whirlwind for our sister and husband.

We as a family are trying to support them as much as we can but both our family & Robs family are hours away from them.

 Neonatal leave & pay act unfortunately will not become law until April 2025, when it does , employers will have a responsibility to offer 12 weeks extra leave & pay. This provides vital time with their babies if they are born premature or sick without the worry of returning to work.

In this circumstance the law is not in place and Chloe was placed straight on maternity leave from the date Koby was born.

 They as a family will spend at least the next 10 weeks in hospital.

Many of you have asked how you can help and so we are hoping to try and raise as much as we can to relieve the stress of return to work, travel expenses, and any other help they may need in the future.
