Kocani Fire Relief: 59 Dead, 155 Injured-Urgent Help Needed

Help Families Affected by the Kocani Tragedy

I am Tanja Keune, and I am organizing this campaign together with the Foundation Ecrowd Macedonia to help the families affected by this devastating tragedy. The fire in Kocani, Macedonia has claimed 59 young lives (ages 16-30) and left over 155 injured, many fighting for survival. Families have been left grieving, displaced, and in urgent need of medical care, shelter, and financial support.

This tragedy feels deeply personal to me, I cannot imagine the pain these families are going through. No one should have to go through such loss alone, and I believe that together, we can make a real difference. Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward helping these families rebuild their lives.

I’m originally from Skopje but living in the USA with my children and husband. My family and friends are from Skopje and all over Macedonia. I am working directly with a charity in Macedonia. This morning, I tried donating while my family rushed to help those gathered at the hospitals, but I felt helpless when I realized I couldn’t donate from here. That’s when I asked Ecrowd.MK, which came highly recommend from my family and friends, how I could help, and the best way was to open an account and set up the transfer directly to the home country.
