Sam & Kristie and their family had a terrifying weekend! Their middle son Elijah (13) broke his leg while skateboarding and required surgery. While in the ER Kristie received a phone call that their eldest son Malachi (19) was in ICU. He had been hit in a head-on collision at 60mph, had been cut from the car and flown to the nearest hospital.
Miraculously, Malachi has recovered to the point of being moved out of ICU, all wires and tubes removed, eating and responding to medical staff appropriately. Elijah is home healing with a successful surgery behind him.
Malachi has a road of recovery ahead of him. Fortunately, insurance should cover the medical costs (Praise God), but Sam and Kristie will be spending a lot of time taking care of him. This makes paying the bills per usual a bit more difficult. I'm hoping we can help with that burden so they can attend to the proper priorities.
Kristie has started several gofundme's for many friends, lets return the favor to this family that is known for taking care of others, for loving well, and as an amazing example of support in general!
