Dear all,

You may know Kody from school, the community, are family/friends or are just are someone who would like to help the Moore family. I have started a funeral fundraiser to help cover the cost of his funeral expenses. Thank you so much for your consideration.

A beautiful tribute from his mom below:

On September 9th, the night of my baby boy’s 19th birthday, he decided that this world was too much for him to bare. My precious, beautiful son, Kody Maurice Moore, suffered with severe depression. He worked so very hard to feel better so he could stay here with us. We all did! Treatments, doctors, therapy, medication, and more love than I ever knew a heart could hold. There were no warning signs.

Kody was the person that always wanted to make other people laugh. He was very kind and always looking to make this world a better place. He had a special relationship with his little sister. He wanted to protect her, show her how to face life’s demons and warn her to stay far away from them. He looked up to his dad and his older brother. He respected them and wanted to make them proud. He loved his friends hard and they’ve become a part of our family. His nieces loved their uncle Koko so unconditionally and he loved them the same.

Kody was not only my son but my best friend. We talked, we shared our hearts, our pain, our frustrations, our hopes, our fears, our dreams, and our anger when the world wasn’t shaping up the way he needed it to. I miss those talks so much! Words cannot describe the hole in our hearts. I wish I could have taken away your pain. I wish I could have changed your mind. I wish I would have given you one last hug. You touched so many people’s hearts. Our world will never be the same without your big, amazing smile. Heaven gained one of the best. I love you Kody with a ‘K’ and I will miss you every day, until we meet again
