Kofi Ansah is a senior on the Union High School varsity football team. He is a smart, loyal, caring, and hard-working young man. Kofi and his brothers are lifelong Union residents, attending Franklin Elementary, Burnet Middle School and Union High School.
On Friday, October 25th, while playing the sport he loved, Kofi suffered a lacerated spleen during the football game. His family has stayed tirelessly by his side, sleeping on couches in the waiting room of the hospital. Kofi has been in a medically induced coma since Saturday, October 26th.
The recovery process for Kofi has been long and full of highs and lows. His health is moving in a positive direction. Doctors are happy with the progress he has made over the last week.
These funds will go to help support Kofi, allow his family to continue to advocate for him, and be there for the moment he begins his journey to recovery.
