Kokopelli the Legend 2019

Tax deductible
We are raising funds to pay our cast and crew for Ariztlan,Inc.'s recent production of Kokopelli the Legend, a Native-American Opera telling the story of the community ruled by women that thrived for 900 years in the Valley of the Sun in Arizona. They left us much of what we still use today, the canals that bring our city cold water, the love of sports, there were 100+ ballcourts and of course the crops of corn, beans and squash plus many more foods amounting to 70% of our current diet. This opera tells the story of the last ballgame played here in 1250 AD and reveals a world similar to our own including climate change and immigrants plus a clash of cultures. We loved presenting this story and we took care to make costumes the songs and dances also were in keeping to Native-American culture, it truly was a labor of love. Creator/ story-teller Jim Covarrubias painted over 100 paintings which we used as a stunning backdrop for our production. Please see the Kokopelli art. Unfortunately we were not succesful with the marketing and ticket sales so we need $ to take care of our expenses. We also want to stage this unique opera again so we need your help. Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Ariztlan Inc, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
