Kōkua Uncle Al Dasugo after horrific Lahaina fire
Donation protected
My Uncle, Al Dasugo, an 80 year old Lahaina native, lost his hale and ALL of his possessions to the horrific fire. He was an adamant collector of Hawaiiana antiques and treasures and had accumulated a priceless collection over his lifetime. (I don’t like to say my uncle has “lost everything” bc God granted him safety and “everything” to me means “life” and being able to see and live into tomorrow❤️). Our ‘ohana is so thankful he’s ok but he was only able to quickly evacuate with the clothes on his back and his medications. He’s had two knee replacements and was recently hospitalized due to a fall.
My Uncle Al is one of the most generous and kind hearted people I know. He spent his life in Lahaina mentoring, coaching and teaching hundreds of keiki from basketball to football and volleyball to ukulele. He would often buy his athletes equipment they couldn’t afford and would always be willing to drive them to wherever they needed. Never hesitating to give back to his community. Uncle Al is a true Lahaina treasure.
Uncle Al does not have venmo and I’m organizing this fundraiser on his behalf. He has a Lahaina PO Box but I believe the best way we can help Uncle is through monetary assistance for now. Please continue to pray for Uncle and kōkua in any way possible, in any amount possible. Everything counts and all donations gifted will go directly to helping Uncle Al recover and rebuild. So much aloha in advance for all your kindness and support❤️
