Kole's Next Play

Kolton "Kole" Smith is a 17-year-old high school offensive lineman and my younger cousin. I have to say younger and not little because he's darn near 300 lbs.

On Friday, June 29th, 2018, at approximately 3:30pm, Kole was in a single vehicle accident while driving home from his girlfriend Tabby's house. While details are fuzzy, what we know for sure is that his truck flipped and he was ejected. After being airlifted to Tampa General Hospital, we learned that he had broken his back. After he got out of surgery, his surgeon (we appreciate the TGH staff so much already!) informed us that his spinal cord is not severed, however, a few vertebrae were broken and repaired with pins. He is currently surrounded by our loving family and continues to poke fun at his big brother, Klay. We're anticipating lots of visitors in the coming days (loving mom Nikki and dad Karl ensure someone is always at his side). While his exact prognosis is unknown at this time, he is stable and on the road to recovery.

We're raising $10,000 to help our family with medical expenses, like:

-A new car

There are so many unknowns right now. The less emotional strain we have over finances, the more support we have to give Kole.
