Support Konnor’s Journey: A Fight for Strength, Courage, and a Future
In July of 2024 at just 14 years old, Konnor’s (Son of Michelle & Cody Jamieson and the late Keegan Hill) life changed forever when he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. A rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Almost immediately, he began his battle with chemotherapy. A journey that would take him through countless hospital stays and emotional challenges. With his immediate family by his side every step of the way, Konnor has remained brave and resilient through the most difficult moments of his life thus far.
Despite the relentless chemotherapy treatments, in November 2024, Konnor received heartbreaking news—his leg could not be reconstructed, and amputation was his only option. In December, Konnor underwent an intense 15-hour surgery called rotationplasty, a procedure that would give him the chance to walk again with the aid of a prosthetic leg. He spent a week at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto right before Christmas. Despite the pain and emotional toll, he has continued to inspire us all with his unwavering courage and strength.
Before his diagnosis, Konnor was an active and passionate young athlete. He played hardball in Caledonia, loved to golf, played in 3 pitch tournaments, lacrosse, and hockey on Six Nations—sports that kept him strong and full of life. Today, he’s back in school at Brantford Collegiate Institute in Brantford. Although his body has been through so much, his spirit remains unbroken.
Konnor’s journey is far from over. He completed chemotherapy in early April and will now be fitted for a prosthetic leg in the coming weeks. This will enable him to walk again, to run again, and to continue doing the things he enjoys. This process will require a two week admission to learn to walk, run, and live everyday with his new prosthetic leg. Although there are programs that have and will continue to help the family with the cost of the prosthetic, everything is not covered. Konnor has sights set on not only existing, but continuing to thrive and succeed in his goals he has set for himself. To do so, he would like an elite running prosthetic, as well as a swimming prosthetic. There will also be ongoing costs for travel, rehabilitation, and potential but necessary modifications in his home to ensure he can navigate with ease.
We are asking for your help to assist Konnor and his family with these critical needs.
Over the last nine months, the love, prayers, and support from family, friends, and the community have been a beacon of hope for Konnor and his family. They are deeply grateful for all the kindness shown to them. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Konnor continue on his road to recovery and reclaim his independence.
Please join us in supporting Konnor as he fights this battle with determination, courage, and the unwavering love of his family and community behind him.
Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and support. Let’s help Konnor run again and give him the future he deserves.
