Kono Bicycle Project 2025 New Year Bicycle Helmet Appeal

The Kono Bicycle Project is asking for your help to buy twelve bike helmets for twelve bikes for twelve students!

The project runs a bicycle library in the community of Wordu, just outside Koidu in Sierra Leone. We have twelve bikes on the road - children and young people who have more than 3 miles to travel to school, college or university each day get to borrow a bike for their commute. A recent project review identified the need for bicycle helmets, and we have not budgeted for this important piece of kit for this year. We will buy the helmets in Koidu at local bike stores, and your help would be very much a appreciated to help us reach our goal of £120. Happy New Year!
