Konrad Ancheta’s Brain Aneurysm Medical Fund
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart we inform family and friends that on June 20th, Konrad had an aneurysm that ruptured and resulted in internal bleeding and swelling in his brain. He went into cardiac arrest twice before being admitted to the surgical ICU wing at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The doctors put my dad in an induced coma to insert a catheter and begin his road to recovery. We are grateful he has remained stable so far, but doctors say the journey to recovery will be extensive. He is expected to be in the ICU for a month, and treatment afterwards is still not known as of right now. The doctors are not sure if or when Konrad will be able to return to work. The medical team has said that he will most likely have long term effects, but are unsure of the severity. Long term care is a strong likelihood. He has two children and a loving wife, as well as a long list of lifelong friends and family who are praying day and night for his recovery.
This has been a horrific shock and has placed a unique financial burden on our family. We hope and pray that he has a speedy recovery and can get home to start his rehabilitation.
Everyone who knows my dad should know that he is always willing to offer a hand to anyone in need, he is so caring and is the foundation of our lives at home. He’s so incredibly strong and we remind him daily to keep fighting for his life.
We miss his contagious laughter, his silly unique personality, our dinners out as a family of four, or slumber parties all together in the living room.
We have faith he will see this through and are praying for the day we get to bring him home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any type of support towards his medical bills. We’ll continue to keep you all updated as he continues to make improvements, in the meantime please continue to keep Konrad in your daily thoughts and prayers.
