Korean Club at a Middle School

Hi, my name is Bitna (BB) Kim, and I am fundraising to support Korean Club at a Middle School in Maryland. I created a Korean club last year due to the students' high interest in K-pop, the Korean language, and culture. Currently we have 75 student members. The club meets two-three times a month.

There is no school funding for the club, so I am humbly asking for donations. Last year I bought all the supplies and materials with my own money, but I am teaching part-time this year, as I have little ones at home. So money is tight. I need your help!

My goal is to raise $1500 for the '22-'23 school year. With your donations, I plan to:

-Provide Korean snacks to students during each meeting (total of 20 meetings)

-Purchase materials and supplies for experiential, hands-on activities

-Invite Korean guest speakers (last year, we invited a Taekwondo master)

-Fund leader-led activities (we have 12 student leaders this year)

I am optimistic that I will reach my goal with your help! I LOVE teaching. I teach because I LOVE my students. Thank you for helping me fund Korean Club. 감사합니다! ('Thank you' in Korean)
