Korey Thompson's full recovery!
Donation protected
Krista Scarvie & Zack Becker are asking for help to cover their mom’s medical expenses, homecare, and future adjustments to her house. On December 15th, Korey Thompson was on a walk in her neighborhood and was struck by a car as she was crossing the street. The driver fled the scene. However, kind strangers protected Korey from further injury and called Krista and an ambulance. Korey has suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI), a severely broken leg (surgically repaired), facial fractures, a broken arm, and other bruising. Korey will be hospitalized for a time in order to get critcal medical attention, along with the needed physical & occupational therapy. She then faces a long road ahead toward full physical recovery. Transitioning to home will require additional care, equipment and home accommodations. Sadly, the family also has the burden of working with the sheriff's office to locate the car and the driver, and to unravel what happened. The emotional trauma has been equally difficult. Your gifts of financial support will make a big difference in supporting Korey, Krista & Zack in navigating the physical and emotional healing in the months ahead. News Coverage -- WCCO CBS News
