Kori Lynn cancer journey

Hi, My name is Paige Lamke, I'm starting this fundraiser for my niece Kori Lynn Beckermann!

Ms. Kori turning five years old on April the 10th! On April 20th, kori went to her five year check-up, while at her visit the doctor discovered a bump running over her kidney. The next day on the 21st of April kori went to her ultrasound to determine what the doctor discovered, while they were there the doctor came out and confirmed there was a Mass on her kidney. The doctor ended up scheduling a MRI a few days later to get more answers. Waiting patiently for the results the doctor called and told us the Mass was 8cm × 9cm and that it was attached to the kidney, but outside of it. Going forward the doctor called an appointment to schedule with surgeons to go over the next steps on how to remove the Mass.

After the doctor and the surgeons talked, they came up with a plan to remove the mass.. before we knew it her surgery was scheduled.

Our family was so nervous about every part of this process. Morning of May 3rd kori Lynn was heading into surgery. After 2.5ish hours later they were done, they removed the Mass completely and kori was in recovery doing very well, they said she was a trooper!

After surgery, the surgeons talked to my sister and her husband about, how they will biopsy the Mass and determine if it's cancerous or not.

After days of koris surgery, she recovered and got sent home 4 days later. They said she was such a great, strong little girl who did absolutely amazing through her time at children's hospital.

Two days after kori being home, the doctors called me sister telling her that it was cancerous. Kori Lynn has Ganglioneuroblastoma.

Our family got hit hard with the results and our still in shock. We can't believe what we've heard.
