Kory Davis Recovery

Donation protected
This is a fundraiser to help Kory Davis and his wife, Brenda, with his recovery.

On March 24, Kory was admitted to the hospital in Regina.  Within the first week, it was determined that Kory had a lung infection that lead to sepsis.  As a result, he suffered a heart attack and organ failure.  He has received  many blood transfusions and still has complications in his organs - most significantly his kidneys and lungs. Kory did not contract COVID-19.

Kory has remained in the hospital, spending most of his time in the ICU where he underwent multiple surgeries.  Although his heart and kidneys have improved, Kory has required the use of a ventilator to breath. After discussion with specialists, it was decided Kory should be transferred to Wascana Rehabilitation in Regina, where he will have the best chance of recovery.  Kory moved to Wascana Rehab on June 10.

During this difficult time, Kory has been unable to work. Although he is receiving benefits from his employer, he has significant medical bills. Wascana Rehab will cost over $3000 per month, plus incidental costs (medication and other supports) totalling about $3500 / month. Brenda has mobility challenges and is unable to work herself.

I have known Kory and Brenda for almost 30 years and I know how hard it is for them to ask for help. It would mean the world to them if we raised enough money to ease their mind for a few months and allow them to focus on healing and recovery.
