Koslowski Family #BRODYSROAR
Donation protected
Deep breath.....it is with honor and great heart ache that I start this campaign to raise money for the Koslowski Family. On January 28, 2019 their three year old son Brody suffered his first seizure. After 3 months of trying different medicines and running different tests to figure out what was causing his seizures they were given an answer. On May 9th Brody was diagnosed with CLN2, a rare genetic disorder that affects children. It is a disease that attacks the nervous system, affecting vision, motor skills, speech and the ability to walk. The hope is that with bi-weekly transfusions it will slow the progression of the deterioration of these systems but it is not a cure. Chicago is the closest hospital certified to administer these transfusions and because they are out of state they may not be covered by health insurance. This disease is so new and so rare there isn’t much out there about it. But trials have started and the hope is so high that science will progress faster than his symptoms. They have a long road ahead of them. Matt and Molly have missed a lot of work and will miss much more between this battle they are about to embark on and caring for their newborn baby (baby brother Colton was born on April 11th). On top of traveling to Chicago bi-weekly, they will also have out of state trips to speak with specialists and learn about clinical trials. Any support financially is greatly appreciated as well as your prayers, happy thoughts and positive vibes!!!! Thanks, Team Brody
