Kotch’s Hurricane Beryl Relief Fund

Donation protected

Hurricane Beryl has brought immense devastation to Jamaica, particularly to our beloved Treasure Beach, which suffered greatly from a direct hit by this Category 4 storm. The aftermath has left our community in dire need.

At Kotch Life Ltd., our team members have been significantly affected, losing their homes, personal belongings, and peace of mind. The devastation is overwhelming, but together, we can help them rebuild.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping them rebuild their lives, care for their children, and secure essential supplies such as food, water, and other necessities.

Please stand with our Kotch Life family in this challenging time. We deeply appreciate your kindness, compassion, and generosity.

All donations will go directly to members of the Kotch Life team, their families and others in the community.

As many of you know, our family has been part of the Treasure Beach community for generations. We have a home in Treasure Beach where we run a villa rental company, Kotch Life Ltd. The individuals listed above are either Kotch employees or their family members who have been severely affected by the hurricane. All funds raised will be transferred to Jodi-Ann Moser Godfrey, the managing director and co-owner of Kotch Life Ltd., to be distributed directly to these individuals and families.

Due to the hurricane, many regular services are unavailable to the community, including access to banks or ATMs for withdrawing funds. As a result, we will need to send the funds to Jodi-Ann Moser Godfrey, who will allocate them accordingly by helping the nine individuals mentioned on this page purchase their needs and ensuring the money goes where it is most needed. She will also assist the elderly who do not have bank accounts and cannot receive money through traditional means. Jodi-Ann will receive the funds directly and allocate them as follows:
  • Immediate financial needs will be addressed through direct transfers to affected individuals and families (where possible).
  • Essential supplies such as food, water, hygiene, and medical supplies will be procured and distributed directly to the individuals listed here.
  • Funds will also support long-term rehabilitation, including repairing their homes.
Regular updates and detailed financial reports will ensure transparency and accountability throughout the relief efforts.

Update on 8 August 2024:

We are thrilled to share some wonderful progress thanks to your generous contributions! With the funds raised so far, we have successfully purchased essential hardware and supplies for over 9 individuals. These items include critical materials such as cement, blocks, windows, roofing materials, nails, water tanks, food items, and drinking water. These resources will make a significant difference in their efforts to restore their living spaces and ensure they have the necessities for daily living.

Currently, we are in the process of coordinating the delivery of these items to ensure they reach the recipients as quickly and efficiently as possible. Your support has truly been a beacon of hope for these families, and we cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity. We will keep you updated as the deliveries are completed and share more stories of how your contributions are making a tangible impact in their lives.

Thank you once again for your continued support and belief in our mission.
