Kerry Rois, a 2012 graduate of Binghamton University, daughter, sister, cousin, friend to many, had finally started building some momentum. She was working two jobs, selling her handmade jewelry in her own etsy store, taking online classes, and looking forward to establishing herself in the world.

Then, on January 14, 2015, on her way to one of her jobs, Kerry was in a horrific car accident. She was rushed to a local hospital in Buffalo, New York, in critical condition with severe head trauma. All of her hopes and dreams for the future were put on the back burner and replaced by just one goal -- to live.

Kerry is still in the Trauma ICU and will be for further days or weeks. After ICU she will be sent to another wing of the hospital to recover from her traumatic brain injury, and after that she likely has to endure months of occupational and physical therapy to get her back to where she was.

Since it's still early, and every brain injury is different, there's no telling how much or how little help she'll need. Kerry's young, she's healthy, and she's got the fire in her to get through this, but all of it is going to cost money. We ask that you give only as much as you can afford. Every little bit helps, and every little bit is going to help Kerry along this road she now has to travel.

The last text message my sister sent me the weekend before the accident was "I love you too sarah beth." I can't wait until she can text me again. I and our family thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness.
