Hello Friends!
Let me start off by thanking each of you for your continual encouragement and support throughout my 8 month adventure through Watoto 360* in Uganda, Africa. If it weren’t for each of your generous hearts it wouldn’t have been a possibility for me to experience the incredible, limitless God moments I did throughout my discipleship program. All I can say is that I left the United States as a young comfortable girl, simply following the calling God placed on my heart and I have returned as a changed, God-driven, fearless, matured young woman with a forever-changed heart through the ministry God has walked me through during my stay in Africa.
Most of you who know me know that I have a servant's heart, and when I left in January it was because I truly wanted to experience what Watoto is about in every way and to serve in the heart of this ministry. Additionally, I was privileged to simply go there to love and take care of the people of Uganda and in the midst of me wanting to make an impact, as well as change in the Ugandan community, unexpectedly the people of Uganda impacted and changed my heart and life in ways that I will never forget.
With that being said, when I left Africa I left a piece of my heart there too and though I am back in the States, it won’t be for long. God blessed me once by giving me the opportunity to be a part of and grow in an amazing discipleship program that not only impacted my life but has great potential to continue to impact others. Furthermore, He has blessed me again with another great opportunity as I have been offered an internship with the School Of Education Department within Watoto Church in Uganda. This internship is for at least 6 months and starts the first week of January, 2015.
After experiencing hands on ministry in the last 8 months I can’t wait to go back to Uganda and experience more of living in the uncomfortable, growing into the potential leader God has called me to be from what is now my second home.
Once again, will you prayerfully consider helping me as I continue to experience more ministries throughout this season I have been called to? Any help you would be willing to give would be a blessing. Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is appreciated.
