Sage King’s Album Fundraiser

Hello there, my name is Sage King, and if you are reading this, I can only assume you are somewhat familiar with my story, but if you aren’t, here it is…

I am a singer/songwriter based in Northern Central Connecticut who has been writing and performing since I was 10 years old. I am now 27, and my dreams and aspirations are still as big as they once were. I would honestly say bigger now than ever.

After self-funding and releasing two independent EPs, Chasing Virtue in 2019 and Blossom in 2021, I am currently working on my newest album; a collection of songs written and inspired by my own personal experiences, some of which I have already released (Bones and Save This Soul) as a preview of what’s to come. I’ve spent a lot of time writing this collection of songs. I believe they are better than anything I’ve done yet. Songs about forgiveness, personal growth and not letting the past define your future. The small team I’ve chosen to help me make this album are people I trust deeply. It is a huge step forward in my career as a songwriter and artist.

Now you may be asking yourself, Sage why do you need our financial help to record and release your own songs?

Well, the answer to that is quite simple actually. It is VERY expensive haha. We live in a world where the price tag of music is essentially FREE. Streaming has impacted the way independent musicians like myself earn a living. We are having to rely on the support from our listeners more than ever.

That’s where you come in. I will be honest that it is very hard for me to ask for help in a situation like this. I am a full-time songwriter and performer and have always put everything I have into my music in hopes of one day bringing my music to bigger stages around the world. I know, big dreams for a small-town guy.

The truth is, I cannot do this without your help. I have fronted the beginning costs of making this album but studio time, musicians, mixes and masters, artwork, printing of physical copies, etc., add up very quickly (costing about $2500 to make a radio ready song). Any amount, even $1, is incredibly helpful and will help me push this project over the finish line.

I cannot wait to release these songs into the world, and I can’t thank you enough for your help through this process. I will be updating you guys along the way!
