Janice Cruz Cancer Treatment

My name is Leona Calvo and I am writing this on behalf of my Nina, Janice Cruz better known to those who love and admire her as Mama Jan. Most of you who know Nina Jan know how big of a heart this amazing lady has. She will literally put every single person (even if she doesn’t know you) before herself.

On May 9, 2022 Nina Jan went in for her annual mammogram checkup. She didn’t show any signs or lumps so she didn’t think anything of it. It wasn’t until she received a call telling her she needed to return back to the doctors office so that they can do a biopsy because it appeared that they found a grey area in her right breast. So she did, she returned to the doctors office and they ran the tests.

On June 15, 2022 her first biopsy came back and was determined that it was in fact cancer. She tried to soak it all in and only told her close family members. While going through all of this, she was her moms full time care taker. She still continued to care for grandma and always made sure that grandma was comfortable and happy.

Unfortunately on October 16, 2022 grandma gained her angel wings and entered the gates of heaven. She is resting peacefully and now it’s time for Nina Jan to take care of herself and her health.

So why this long story, it’s because Nina Jan will be leaving to San Diego on January 16, 2023 for her cancer treatment . We are humbly asking for any kind monetary donation that you may offer to help her and her children with the medical expenses. I completely understand that it’s the holidays and times may be a bit tough. And that’s ok if you aren’t able to donate. We just ask that you please keep Nina Jan in your prayers while she undergoes her procedure.
