Help is needed for medical cost, medications and travel expense to and from Iowa City. Rodric fell ill around mid December 2014. He started experiencing aggressive headaches, nausea and vomiting. After a visit to the emergency room, a CT scan revealed a brain tumor in the Thalamic part of his brain. Rodric was air-lifted to The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics Neurosurgery department for a biopsy. The biopsy revealed he had an Anaplastic Astrocytoma brain tumor which was was malignet (cancerous). Three days later on December 16th, Rodric underwent open brain surgery to remove the tumor. The doctors were only able to remove 25% of the tumor in this procedure. He is currently home now, starting the rehab process. He will begin chemo therapy and radiation February 2nd at Iowa University Hospital and Clinics.
