Kreft Family

UPDATE: 2 Hours ago Daniel landed in Reno!

Hello my name is Christina, I am a local birth doula and have lived here for the past few years and know how important the Kreft family is to our community. Whenever anyone in the community asks about music lessons, we all know who to recommend. When there is a beard contest at a festival...we know who will win!
When hearing of the news of Daniel's wife Beth, I messaged him and asked if he would like me to help him ask the community to help out so he could go be by his side. Being that I help families at pivotal times of their life, it only made sense to see if I could help by creating this for them. Daniel's boss has graciously offered to pay his airfare and continue paying him for the next two weeks. I'm sure many will think that is enough. Still, when you are in a different town, there are additional expenses, such as transportation, food, extra care for the children, items needed for an extended stay, etc. So many things that we don't think of pop up, and knowing that you have some extra cushion to pull from makes this time less stressful for Daniel so he can focus on Beth and help whoever is taking care of the kids.

From Daniel's FB page:
Everyone please keep Beth in your prayers. She hasn't been feeling well for over a week now. She started feeling a little better Friday. She and the kids left Saturday for Nevada to visit her family. Yesterday she started feeling really bad. She went to the ER a couple of hours ago and they are admitting her. She has inflamed liver and kidneys and her heart is working overtime. Her pulse was 189 when she went to the ER. They are transferring her to another hospital for continued testing to see what is causing it.

Update on Beth, she was transferred to Carson Tahoe Regional last night. Overnight her heart has determinated, more so in the last hour. They are taking her to the heart Cath lab to find out what is going on. They said there is a lot going on with her.

Update: This is a rollercoaster I never wanted to ride. About two hours ago Beth had a heart Cath to check her veins. Everything looked great. When she got back to the room they laid her down and she had a really hard time breathing. They incubated her. Then her pulse dropped so low she went code blue. They had a team of 7 nurses giving her cpr for 45 minutes. Finally they got a pulse. She is in seriously critical condition. They are going to put in an impella. The virus she had weakened her heart muscle. The cardiologist said normal would be 55% she is at 20%. The impella goes in through the groin and gets inserted into the artery in the heart to help it pump the blood out of the heart. That's why her kidneys and liver and all that are messed up. They will be doing the procedure in about an hour.
