Kresic Family Adoption - India

We are Chris and Ashley Kresic. We have been married 8 years, have three kids 5 & under (one of whom is adopted internationally) and enough animals to make a small petting zoo. From early in our marriage, we both knew the Lord had called us to build our family through adoption.

Our first adoption was completed just days before the country closed its doors to international adoption. Now, we are currently in process for two more adoptions – one (long) wait in Haiti and one (much shorter) wait in India.

Earlier this year, we were matched with a joyful 3-year-old girl living in an orphanage in India. ‘Jo Jo’ is blind. She has a gorgeous smile and a radiant demeanor and has simply been waiting too long for a family of her own. Over the years, the Lord has developed a heart for blindness in both of us, and we can’t wait to bring this sweet girl home in the coming months.

While, so far, we have paid the expenses out of pocket, we are seeking support to get through the final major expenses: airline fees, time off work, extended stay overseas, remaining adoption costs, medical expenses, and respite care.

As we continue to respond to God’s heart for orphans, we are amazed at the generosity of the church in coming around us to take part in what God is doing in our lives. Thank you for sharing in the blessing.
