Kris P. (Leonard) Aspromonti, 55, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of Vincent
Aspromonti, died Sunday July 23, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. Kris was born in
Bayshore New York to Robert Leonard of Tucson, AZ and the late Mildred (King) Leonard on
April 5, 1968. She had resided in New York until she decided to move with her beloved husband
to Glastonbury, Connecticut in 1997. Kris worked as a patient coordinator in the medical field for
years which highlighted her strong work ethic. After Kris had her first child in 1993, she decided
to do what she loved most, being a mother and homemaker. Her other passion was her love for
dogs. She developed and founded a blog called www.homesweetpups.com that provided
support to new puppy parents. Kris shared many happy memories vacationing with her family in
Upstate New York at Loon’s Nest, and was a proud owner of the Hummingbird Lodge named for
her mother who adored the bird as well as the area. Kris took pleasure in traveling with her
husband around the world on annual company VIP trips. In addition to her husband and father,
she is survived by her 3 children, Anthony V. Aspromonti of Wethersfield, Marisa N. Aspromonti
of Glastonbury, Nicholas J. Aspromonti of Nashua, NH. She is also survived by 2 beloved dogs Mia and Sonny.
To know Kris was to love her kind heart and beautiful soul. It was as simple as that. She was
certainly beautiful inside and out as well as a loving mother who taught her children how to be
genuine, hardworking, compassionate, honest, strong and empathic individuals. Her greatest
achievement in life was having and raising her 3 children. She never missed out on any family
activity and will always remain the family’s bright light. She always would lend a helping hand
and cared deeply for those around her. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, sister, friend to
many and loved by all. She is proceeded in death by her mother Mildred (King) Leonard,
nephew Joseph “Joey” Leonard Gromalski, father-in-law Vincent J. Aspromonti, as well as her
paternal and maternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Kris’ remarkable spirit and her loving family, please consider a donation, or a donation to the fight against pancreatic cancer in Kris's name and/or a charity that reflect Kris's many passions.
