Kris Ferretti is the most selfless, loving, kind hearted woman I have ever known. She would give the shirt off her back for anyone who needed it, even a complete stranger. Kris, aka our sweet momma, has faced her fair share of hardships, but she continues to push through and show her love for others, even during her struggles.
About 14 years ago, mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It was a long and difficult battle, but, as always, she prevailed. She is in her 12th year of remission, y'all!
This past February, mom was admitted to Rockdale Hospital due to an infection found in her blood stream. Turns out, the infection was coming from the implant in her left breast. The implant, as well as the expander, were quickly removed through surgery. But, this was only the beginning of a very long journey back to health.
Mom has been in and out of the hospital, undergoing daily two hour treatments in a hyperbaric chamber, and carrying around a wound vac/drain, all in hopes of ridding her body of the infection. Most recently, while in Florida celebrating the birth of her granddaughter, she was, once again, admitted to the hospital due to yet another infection. While there, she was forced to undergo more surgery.
As you can imagine, all of these hospital and doctor bills are adding up and weighing heavy on mom. We would love to help ease her finanical stress but cannot do that alone. Anything that you can do to help would be greatly appreciated!
And, this is not just a request for monetary support! Help comes in many forms whether it be prayer, visits and hugs, flowers, or a home cooked meal. We have seen so much support already and cannot even begin to express how thankful we are for that. Mom is very blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people :)
