Kristopher Hertel

This page is dedicated in loving memory to Kris Hertel of Sandpoint, ID. He was a Varisty Soccer player at the local High School and loved his time with friends, family and his dog Lola.
On Saturday, September 3rd, 2016, Kris sustained a tramatic brain injury and needed to be life-flighted to Sacred Heart Hopsital in Spokane, Washington, unfortunately this was not covered by his insurance carrier, Blue Cross Blue Shield.
For the next 3 days, Kris was touch and go in the Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital surrounded by friends and family.
Regretfully, Kris was overcome by the injuries and passed away on Monday, September 5th, 2016.
While his time in the hospital was short, the incredible care he recieved was not without a hefty cost.
This fund will help relieve the burden of excessive financial expenses and allow the family to focus on recovering from losing such a young and bright life.
**** It is the wishes of Kris' family that all funds which exceed the medical expenses, will be donated to either the American Association of Anxiety and Depression - or - the National Mental Health Research Institute.
Please feel free to send any photos, loving stories or memories of Kris to:
[email redacted]
From the family of Kris, we all thank you so much for your support and loving contribution.
Feel free to contact email above for any questions, concerns, or interest in ways to help/contribute not listed above.
