Krissy’s end of life expenses
Our mom, Krissy, was diagnosed with COVID-19 Thursday august 26th. She had been sick off and on throughout the days prior. On Friday,
September 2nd, she passed away suddenly and tragically in her home she shared with her
2 sons. With only her 2 young adult sons present during the time of her passing, they very understandably don’t want to return to their home.
Our mom was everything anyone would have wanted in a friend, a mom, a neighbor. She’s quick to speak her mind and defend her people, if you needed something, she would be there. Almost always late (lol) but there nonetheless. “Better late than never, at least I made it” she would always say. There’s nothing more in life she loved than family, her 8 grandkids, and a fun time. We as a family, with our rock, our foundation, pulled out from underneath us, are lost.
Due to being exposed to Covid for an unknowing amount of time, and now needing to begin quarantining, bills still need to be paid so we can return to go through her things and so my brothers at least have somewhere to go if all else, possibly moving expenses because our future without our mom is such a blur right now. We were not prepared to have to band together and come up with the financial burden of funeral costs. Between cremation and burying our mom next to her mom in North Dakota, it is sadly, very costly on 5 kids who didn’t expect our hard as a rock mom, would pass away especially like this. We are all we have now. So I am asking for help for myself and my siblings to help with cremation cost, burial cost, and to help my brothers get by so they can quarantine in a hotel room without the memory of our moms tragic death every time they walk through their home. We are trying to take baby steps right now. Acceptance and funeral are the first 2 steps.
